Chandler Youth Unite for Global Youth Service Day

Chandler’s youth transformed their meetinghouse into a vibrant center of service for Global Youth Service Day on April 26, 2025.

Over two hours, families teamed up to refurbish bikes, sort clothing, decorate ornaments, and craft “sleep tight” cards for those in need.

The event, meticulously planned by the youth, partnered with groups like the Arizona Refugee Center and St. Vincent de Paul.

Enthusiastic advisors guided hands-on projects, sparking new friendships and inspiring future activities.

By midday, 50 bikes were ready for refugee families, heartfelt cards were prepared for shelter guests, and hand-painted ornaments shone with community spirit.

Local adults marveled at the generosity and energy of the participants.

Chandler continues to encourage connection at places like the Downtown Farmers Market and the Chandler Museum, offering ongoing opportunities to serve and celebrate community together.
